Usual Allopathic Treatment Methods for Tonsillitis
If tonsillitis is mild and caused by a virus, then most of the times it does not require any treatment. It is cured itself within few days.
If tonsillitis is severe and is due to bacteria then there are two methods to treat in Allopathy.
Treatment Using Antibiotics: To cure the bacterial infection, patient is required to take full course of antibiotic medicines. Please note that there are many side effects associated with the use of antibiotic medicines.
Surgery to Remove Tonsils: If condition is not cured by antibiotics OR occurs again and again then surgery is recommended by physicians. In surgery the tonsils are completely removed from human throat. This is a painful and expensive process. Patient now has to live without tonsils for the rest of his life.
